Yes, you heard me right; the pharmacy tech students are learning how to give intramuscular and subcutaneous injections and are loving it! Not only that, but in the next few weeks, they will also learn how to check a person’s blood glucose!

You might be wondering why pharmacy techs need to know how to give injections and check a person’s blood glucose? Well, let me tell you! More and more pharmacies are offering specialized services such as immunization clinics and health screenings; therefore in order for technicians to effectively assist pharmacists, they will learn how to give injections and blood glucose tests.
