Any project that requires the collaboration of more than one person to be completed proves how important teamwork can be.  No price can be put on the power of “We.”

Harvey Mackay feels teamwork actually beings with the hiring process.  Interview questions should uncover teamwork skills.  Stories of past employment accomplishments should include examples of “we did this.”

Prospective employees should have the desire of group goal accomplishments.  Teamwork skills should include communication, reaching an end goal together, and cooperation in final decision-making.

Conflict resolution should be a major topic with a new team member.  Unwillingness to sacrifice only makes individual goals difficult to achieve.  Michael Jordan stated in his book “I Can’t Accept Not Trying” that “talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win championships.”

“We” is a very powerful two-letter word.
