As the first program within our three-college system that started over 20 years ago, the Dental Assisting program holds a special place in our hearts.
Not only does it have a long history with the Tulsa community, but this program continues to provide training to those looking for a career in a growing field.
Who is well suited to a career in Dental Assisting?
If you enjoy working with patients, combining hands-on work with mentally engaging tasks, and even some administrative work when needed, Dental Assisting could be for you! As a part of the program, you will be training for the nationally-recognized Certificate in Dental Assisting (CDA) and get exposure to various career paths as a Dental Assistant, from orthodontics and periodontics, to general dentistry, among others.
Faculty that have real-world, clinical experience in the dental industry are there to help you master material in and out of typical classroom hours.
Our curriculum also includes training in dental software applications and insurance billing and coding so you receive a well-rounded education and are prepared for your first day on the job.

A Full Experience
Our Dental Assisting program includes an on-campus dental lab where students practice sterilization procedures, taking dental impressions, radiography, and patient care.
A combination of theory and hands-on application are the foundation of our Dental Assisting program. Our on-site lab will allow you to practice:
- Proper Oral Hygiene Instruction
- Chair-Side Manner
- Patient Care/Education
- Dental Software
Work for dentists in a wide variety of specialties, from orthodontia to periodontia. Other career opportunities include dental supply and equipment sales, dental insurance, and dental billing and coding.
