Higher Education Accreditation
Higher education accreditation is a method of evaluation that guarantees competency in precise performance and ethical standards that are relevant, reliable and indicative of successful outcomes for students. It is designed to help higher education schools continually improve their effectiveness, especially geared toward the results of services, ensuring the school’s accountability to the students and community employers they serve.
What?
Accreditation is voluntarily initiated by colleges who want to show proof of their competency. Students and their future employers deserve the highest level of excellence in academic, technical & interpersonal education, and accreditation demonstrates these goals.
The U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) are the two main agencies in the U.S. that recognize reputable accrediting bodies of providers of higher education.
The Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) is the only healthcare education accrediting agency that is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (since 1968). ABHES is also recognized by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), the only professional organization in the world dedicated exclusively to the medical assisting career. Only graduates of ABHES or CAAHEP accredited schools may sit for the nationally recognized CMA (AAMA) exam, which strengthens a graduate’s marketability, in all fifty states.
The program pursuing accreditation begins the process with a self audit of its curriculum and business practices, which is followed by a site evaluation conducted by a team of expert practitioners. Areas that are covered include program objectives, curriculum, academic and clinical competencies, laboratory facilities and resources, externship, program supervision, faculty and community input. Some of the three-year statistics evaluated are retention rates, job placement rates and student performance as evidenced by GPA & credentialing participation & pass rates. Student, graduate and employer satisfaction are evaluated, by both documented, ongoing surveys & actual classroom, extern, graduate and employer interviews during the accreditation visit. Faculty ongoing professional growth and development are assessed.
The Community Care College Medical Assisting program just underwent our ABHES renewal accreditation visit. What was it like? Stressful of course, just like any midterm or final exam is. We went through lots of preparation, just as any student would when writing a thesis or approaching an exam. Even if you feel confident, there’s always one more thing to research, investigate, review. But the actual process turned out to be enlightening and pleasant. While our evaluators were experts and exacting, they were also cordial and approachable. It was a great learning experience and did what it was supposed to do: have us actively, formally evaluate our program with the goal of identifying areas of strengths & areas to enhance.
Take the next step towards your education when you choose Community Care College. At an accredited institution like Community Care College, our programs meet the standards set by ABHES, ensuring you receive top-notch education and training.

I can’t tell you how trilled I am that I picked the right school that has the gold standard of accreditation. I have a friend in Arkansas who recently told me she is going to the “exact training” as I am but I knew she couldn’t be right because her training is only 2 months long and ours is 9 months. I looked it up and it is for a “registered” medical assistant. We could have easily been tricked into this same type of training, and have spent all of our time and money and not even have the Certification that most require in our field. Very relieved student here!!
I am so happy I am a student at such an incredible accredited school. So happy I decided to go to CCC instead of wright and the other colleges I looked at! It makes me feel good that I picked the right school! Not to mention we sit for the CMA exam!
I’m so glad that I picked a great school. I didn’t know that I could be a certified medical assistant until I started to coming to the classes and everyone was talking about it. That was bad on my part for not doing the research but great on my instructors part for informing me about it and letting me know that I can better myself much more then I knew. I’m glad that we get the opportunity to be a certified MA. I wouldn’t change my choice for coming her for anything. Thank you,
I’m glad I choose CCC . I was glad the week we receive our renewal accreditation. That mean we have good instructors, Who really know what they are doing and are their to make sure we get the proper education we need to go out and get the jobs we deserve. Thank you!
I could not have picked a better school!! The school having an accreditation is just one of the many plus sides to this great school!!!
Accreditation matters to me because I know I am receiving the highest quality of training possible, and since CCC is an accredited school, I can become certified and take my skills with me anywhere in the United States that I want.
It’s a good thing that they well start doing thing this. So that people don’t just waste their time but also their money. Their are many of students in college that have families already and don’t have time to be fooled with nor to spend a lot of money on something worthless.
I think that it is awesome how the school takes the time and effort to be accredited. I really didn’t even know that much about all this stuff when I enrolled so I got really lucky picking this school. So I am really thankful for the fact that the shcool I go to cares about me and all the other students not just when we are here but when we leave also.
I think this is a great thing that they are doing, because it helps the school is able to prove how good they are.
I’m glad I chose this school. Being certified is important to me.
I am very happy with picking this school. I took a medical assisting class 5 years ago but it was only a registered medical assisting class. Even though I’ve only been here 3 months, I’m very happy with the program and feel like I’ve learned so much more. I honestly think the accreditation makes a huge difference because most jobs you see ask for a CMA instead of a RMA.
I have never gone to college so I am very happy I chose a great school. I am looking forward to finishing and working in the medical assisting field. I feel like I will be very qualified considering I am going to an accredited school.
I’m so happy to have picked Community Care College. I have meet so many people who care and want to see you succeed. I’m so happy that this school is only nine months for my course and is is fast pace. Being fast pace with one class a week makes you learn more and keeps you motivated.
Accreditation is a guarantee of the quality of education the student will receive from a school. Accreditation does matter because it shows that the school is devoted to giving the highest level of education to its students. I’m very happy I go to a school with such a high level of accreditation!
So glad I pick a school with good accreditation. I never checked on it for my last school but I also never knew about it until now.
I am Extremely happy with my choice of CCC. i knew this would be the college I went to just as soon as I walked in the door. Lovely place, Lovely staff, just plain lovely all the way around. I am so happy CCC has such a high level of accreditation.
I am glad I choose community care college for my future career. I was thinking about going to Tulsa community college, but I rethink and read more into it and said that community care college is more better and I am really happy that I chose the right college to follow my future. Also the college having accreditation is so great for me when I go in to my field!
I’m so happy that I found the right school for me, accreditation is extremely important in succeeding and I feel CCC will help me do that. My instructor is the best and I look forward to learning something new every week

Awesome! Its nice to know I am in a program that exceeds beyond what is needed. It shows that they really care about the students, and ensuring they exceed as well.
I am glad I pick CCC, all the other colleges I looked into did not offer what I wanted to do. My instructor is awesome. If you need any sort of help they are always there. I’m excited learn the things, that will get me going in my career.
I looked a several schools before choosing CCC, finishing my program at an accreditated school will help me will look good on my résumé.
I have gone to other colleges before, so knowing about Community Care College and the accreditation it does matter. You are paying for your education and you want and need the accreditation. This school has helped in every process of the way in most students journey.
When searching for a medical assisting school I had two things in mind, one that I needed a school that did not take two years to finish and two that I needed a national certification. On my research I found Tcc and CCC was the only ones that offered the national certification. I was referred by a friend I went to high school with and she told me how great the staff and program was. I can now say I totally agree. I am so happy I chose a school that does hold up to what they advertise and how motivated they are in helping there students achieve there goal. I will be looking forward to graduation in May.
This accreditation just reassures me that I picked the right school to help me further my career. CCC is just the best! I love the staff and all my fellow students!
Accreditation is what sets schools apart the more accreditations a school earns the better the education you will received from that school. Does it matter? Yes it matters when choosing to continue your education to better your life you don’t want a sub par location to give thousands of dollars to only to discover your education you receive through them is useless. I’m extremely proud CCC did such an outstanding job. I can’t say I’m shocked it is defiantly well deserved recognition. The staff does a beyond excellent job! Keep up the good work!
