Tulsa, Okla., (May 6, 2013) – As tuition costs continue to skyrocket across the United States, a tuition freeze at Community Care College (CCC), Clary Sage College (CSC) and Oklahoma Technical College (OTC) is expected to last through at least 2015.
“As students continue to measure the ROI (Return on Investment) of their college education, affordability is a key issue. We are committed to keeping tuition costs reasonable,” said CEO Teresa Knox of the decision.
Knox said the schools’ success is measured by the success of their graduates, which includes the number of graduates employed and able to easily pay back their student loans.
Keeping with those internal goals, the colleges have also recently increased the number of institutional scholarships they offer. These include scholarships for recent high school graduates and GED recipients, job loss scholarships, special needs scholarships for victims of unexpected life events such as natural disasters, and scholarships geared toward individuals 55 and over among others. The campuses also offer several scholarships and discounts for military and veterans of the U.S. armed forces. The college gave $400,000 in scholarships in 2012 and is expected to exceed that amount in 2013.
“Despite the tuition freeze, we continue to raise academic standards in a highly-engaged, student-focused, career-driven environment,” added Knox.
The last tuition change on each campus took place in the 2011-2012 award year.
