Enroll in our Dental Assistant program for a practical career in just eight months. Gain hands-on skills to assist in orthodontics, periodontics, and general dentistry. Graduates receive their Dental Assistant Permit from the Oklahoma Board of Dentistry, along with certifications in Radiation Safety, Protection, and Healthcare Provider CPR. This program features both hands-on training in our on-campus dental lab and classroom sessions to teach you theory and application. You’ll learn:
Sterilization procedures
Dental impressions
Radiography
Patient care
Proper oral hygiene instruction
Chairside manner
Patient care/education
Dental software
Instrumentation
Upon graduating from this program, you’ll receive your Dental Assistant Permit from the Oklahoma Board of Dentistry, your first expanded function duty of Radiation Safety and Protection and be certified in Healthcare Provider CPR.
The Dental Assistant program at CCC will prepare you to work in a wide variety of specialties, including orthodontia, periodontia, dental supply and equipment sales, dental insurance and dental billing and coding. According to the BLS, demand for dental assistants is expected to grow by 11% from 2020 to 2030, which is faster than average. Our graduates have gone on to work for employers like Spring Dental, Dental Depot, My Dentist, Art of Modern Dentistry, Tulsa Job Corps, and Aspen Dental.T
